Hi, Jean Marc! Nice to see you here.
Thanks for the pointer to the cyber warfare article. I read Foreign Affairs but more fitfully than routinely, so I had not seen this before. Fascinating.
The whole cybersecurity issue is a whole 'nother can of worms, and blog-worthy as well. Just as with global warming and an inevitable sea rise, people have not yet come to terms with the reality of serious cyber dangers. The more internetworked we are, the more vulnerable we become to a well-aimed targeted threat. Our infrastructure, for one thing, is far more open to malicious attack than people generally realize.
Hm. Must add that to my blog topic list...

Hello Teramis,
Following your comment on my blog recently, I navigated to your… Scary prospects in many ways, in particular if your take into account the seemingly inevitable 2m-rise in sea levels. I like the phrase "make it real now". The fact that there are so many threats we we still see as either science fiction, or a long way off makes us very complacent about not only the current urgency, but also our need to act. In the same spirit, but in a completely different context, I read an article about cyber warfare and security threats to private and public computer networks. See Foreign Affairs: http://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/65499/wesl... –– I am subscribing to your blog, so hopefully we will have some more conversations! All the best, JM
