Newsletter: Warped Space

You can get Lizard Lair blog notes via feed or email subscription (see bottom of the sidebar and RSS logo at page top to sign up). But if your main interest here is to keep up on what I’m doing in the realm of authorship, specifically, then the Warped Space newsletter is for you.

In the newsletter I talk pretty much exclusively about my writing projects and related creative activities, announce appearances, and share information of special interest to my fans.   A ”literati light” version of this will be in my blog, but in Warped Space you’ll see more in-depth coverage about the novelist side of my life.

So, here are 3 reasons why you should subscribe (you knew I had reasons for this, dincha?):

3 Reasons to Subscribe to Warped Space

1. It’s narrowly focused.  If you don’t want to sift through blog posts and web pages to find out wassup with Teramis-the-author, you don’t have to.  Warped Space delivers that aspect of my world to you in one concentrated dose.

2. It’s traffic-light. Warped Space is an occasional publication, by which I mean it comes out only when I have something to the point to say.  If you’re concerned about info-glut, that won’t happen here.  By the same token, I recognize this is one of my best channels to stay in touch with fans, and I expect to talk about projects and other things of interest as time goes on with something approaching regular updates.

3. It comes with swag. Last but certainly not least, I’m making freebies, special offers and other miscellaneous perqs available from time to time only to newsletter subscribers. If you’re part of Warped Space,  then every now and then you’ll get things like discount offers on books, exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at my work, extra content, sneak peeks at works in progress, and more.

Why? Well, I really appreciate folks who subscribe, and I want to win your loyalty and support as I progress in my writing career.  Since you’re taking the time to read my newsletter and have invited me into your email box – and who knows, may even buy some of my books sometime – I’m giving back by sharing some of the things that make my writing most exciting for me.

A Free Short Story for Subscribing

If you sign up for my mailing list, I’m offering new subscribers a personal copy of my first science fiction short story written for the Sa’adani Empire setting of my sf novels. It saw print once in a low-circulation sf ‘zine in 1995, and then vanished from sight. This story is long out of print and is available no where else, except to subscribers here at the Lizard Lair.

I think you’ll like it. It’s a brief but powerful  tale with a great “gotcha” ending.  And it’s yours for free, simply for subscribing to Warped Space, as a thank-you for checking out my little alternate universe.

So. There’s my offer.  Sign up, hang out, see what I have to share in the newsletter and occasional list mailings. I look forward to sharing my work with you.

If you’d like to get Warped, you can subscribe by using the form near the top left column of this page. You can be certain I will never share your email address elsewhere.
